We are happy to keep offering a clean, safe space in Winnipeg

If you’ve read our reviews or stayed with us before you know we take great joy in being a friendly social place. That hasn’t changed but in order to keep our guests and housemates as safe and healthy as possible, we have modified our services and procedures.  

We take this very seriously and ask that prior to your booking and arriving at the hostel, please carefully read the procedures below to make sure our new policies and limited services will work for you. 


Keep in mind we are now only accepting reservations made online or by telephone. Availability will be posted 2-3 months in advance. Please check back again closer to your arrival. 

We are not accepting walk-ins at this time. Only guests with reservations made in advance may present themselves at the hostel.

We also ask that all guests be free of symptoms upon arrival.  If you develop symptoms, please call us immediately so we can help you find accommodation in Winnipeg that would be more appropriate for your situation.  


Our terms and conditions now outline safety precautions and screening due to COVID-19. If any of the conditions cannot be met the booking cannot be finalized.  Once booked with a valid credit card you will receive a confirmation email. Once you’ve received a confirmation email you can send us a picture of your passport open on the identification page at least 24 hrs before your check in so that we can provide you with self check in instructions (see below).

Once you've received a confirmation of your booking and deposit please forward a passport photo


On the morning of your arrival the balance of your booking will be charged to the card that the deposit was made with at the time of booking. You will receive a payment invoice by email. 


You will then receive an email from us with all of your self check in instructions, including your personal door codes.


  • We've enhanced our thorough cleaning protocols in all of our guest rooms.

  • Extra attention is being paid to all touch points 

  • Bunks and bed frames are being cleaned with chemicals aimed at killing viruses

  • Bathrooms will be cleaned and disinfected  numerous times per day

  • Guests will have extra sanitization options within both private rooms and communal bathrooms

  • Upon checkout we ask that all guests put their linens in a designated hamper provided in each room



We've suspended shared dorm room bookings and lowered our private room rates to better accomodate. The dorm room can still be booked as a private dorm room by an individual or by the same social family. 


  • Face masks will now be required in common areas. Please let us know if you need one

  • Best practice posters are displayed throughout the hostel

  • Enhanced sanitization procedures focused on touch points throughout the hostel will take place regularly

  • A  sanitizing station is available

  • We have moved around our furniture in common areas to accommodate social distancing


  • Wash your hands please and sanitize in between

  • Please adhere to our social distancing rules remain two meters apart from all other guests and staff

  • Please do not hesitate to inform any of our staff if any symptoms develop during your stay so that we can help you the best. This is for your own safety and for all others.

  • To extend your stay, purchase laundry service or have any other questions for our staff  please, call or whatsapp 204-794-4218 so we can help you out with whatever you may need.



Our delicious little breakfast snack will still be available and will now be offered as a take-away. Tea and coffee will still be available

The kitchen remains open to our home cooks but limited to one person or party at a time. Hours and guest usage will be limited so that we can maintain a sterile environment.


We’ve put in place extensive safety procedures beyond the government recommendations however we are not an ideal place to accommodate high-risk guests who have symptoms of COVID-19 and/or need to isolate.

Because of this:

  • We will not accept guests from outside of Canada, until they have been in Canada for 14 days and don’t have any symptoms of COVID-19. Our staff will check passports to ensure that all non-Canadians have been in Canada for 14 days.

  • Anyone that experiences any symptoms related to COVID-19, such as a sore throat, fever or cough should not stay with us.

  • We don’t recommend guests who are considered high risk staying with us: over 70 years old or with pre-existing conditions that put them at higher risk.
